Nigel Van Den Akker wins a place in the Rowing NZ Junior Mens Crew

Rowing New Zealand has announced its 2010 Junior team. The squad of boats will consist of a junior women's coxless four and quad and a junior men's eight, double scull, coxed four and quad scull.

The coach ; Bruce Holden coached Hamilton Boys High School to Gold in the MAADI cup this year.

The selected Junior rowers will be departing to the Rowing NZ Training Centre at Lake Karapiro on the 16th May . Their school studies continue at St Peter’s School, Cambridge. On the  21st July the NZ team depart to Prague.  The team will pre-train for a fortnight at Racice and compete at the Junior World rowing Championships ; Racice , Czech Republic  4th-8th august .
