Julia Edward through to A Final at 2013 World Rowing Champs in Korea
The women's lightweight double sculls crew of Rotorua Rowing Club’s Julia Edward and her crewmate Lucy Strack have made it into the A final of the 2013 World Rowing Championships in Korea.
Finishing third in their semifinal, they followed second-place United States and winner Italy to qualify for Saturday's final (NZ time 18:15)
The girls are relaxing and enjoying the success of making the final, but Friday their minds will be back to racing.
Each race has been better than the last” said Edward.
Italy has proven to be very dominant this season and the rest of the field will all be very tight.
“We are racing the best of the best and can’t wait “ said Edward. “We know the final is going to be a very close race between the six of us.”
