U23 WORLD ROWING CHAMPS  UPDATE

Build up to Belarus.

Hey-It is less than a week till we start racing and it is still very hot here. We are all hoping that Belarus won't be this hot to race in. There are lots of people sunbathing around the course and rollerblading is a big thing here.

We are into the training phase of tapering off now therefore we are training twice a day with short k's and fast sprints. The entries for worlds have come out and we have had a look at our competition. It is quite hard to see who is who because we are a new crew. However we saw that the combination that won last year are coming back to retain their title, so competition is going to be very tough..

We leave on Sunday at 3am in the morning and drive to Prague then catch a flight to Frankfurt, then another flight to Minsk and then we have to drive 6 hours in a bus to Brest in Belarus where we are racing. So it is going to be a very long day of traveling.

It is so hot here that I can't even imagine the cold weather in NZ. Will update you next when I am in Belarus.

cya :)
