PRESIDENT’S  REPORT GLEN REICHARDT

As I sit here at Wings Over Wanaka(Yes it was us on TV3) rowing is the furthest thing from my mind. Yeah right. As the club season and school competition season closes we can reflect on the results and be proud to be part of the Rotorua club. Congratulations to the rowers who competed in either club or school champs (or both) your achievements were awesome.  Not to overlook the dedicated band of coaches who stepped up to the mark and embraced the new system introduced to the club this year. We look forward to next season welcoming some new coaches into the club.

The end of club season sees the start of the masters competition season. Good luck to all, we wish you well in upcoming events and look forward to hearing of your results.

Looking forward to next season and the upcoming AGM, we would like to have two committee representatives from each group involved in the club.ie club, each school and masters rowers. The club cannot survive without input from dedicated members of the committee. Active members make the roles of each committee member easier.

Finally we look forward to the new season and with the numbers  at the learn to row programme, hopefully we look forward to an increase in membership for 2010.
