L Wear Central Bay of Plenty Monthly Secondary School Sports Awards  April 2011

Sports Boy of the Month:16 year old Western Heights High School student Riordan Morrell is the ‘L Wear Central Bay of Plenty Sport Boy of the Month’ for April 2011. Riordan won Gold in the under 18 single sculls at the 2011 Aon Maadi Cup regatta held at Lake Karapiro. Riordan also placed 1st in both the under 18 single sculls and under 18 double sculls at the North Island Championships.Riordan has been selected in the New Zealand men’s double sculls teams for the World Championships. 

Coach of the Month; Western Heights High School coach Chris Pearson is the ‘L Wear Central Bay of Plenty Coach of the month’ for April.
