PHOTO;( Thanks to WRPC Newsletter )  Bay of Plenty Team with the Graeme Moran Memorial Trophy
Overall Win for BOP at the
2010 North Island Provincial Regatta…
Teams representing Auckland, Bay of Plenty, East Coast, Wellington and Wanganui took part in the Wanganui Security North Island inter-provincials. Unfortunately, Waikato (and Canterbury in the South Island event) are not taking part.
Teams are competing for the Graeme Moran Memorial Trophy, commemorating Graeme "Punchy" Moran, a long-time stalwart of the Union Boat Club - a winner of Red Coats in the coxed four in 1958 and the eight in 1959-60-61, as well as being a member of the New Zealand eight at the Commonwealth Games in 1962.
Well done to the Bay of Plenty Interprovincial team who performed with excellence to take out an overall win at the 2010 regatta held in Wanganui 3/4th October.  The BOP team put a number of points on the board including wins in both the Open Men's 4- and Open Men's 2x.
