WORLD ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS NEW ZEALAND 2010

REPECHAGE Julia Edward and Lucy Strack force their way to 1st in the repechage and stoke their confidence ready for the semis .

Their time of 7.00.86 is five seconds faster than their previous PB. Julia told the Daily Post…

"We had an awesome race, we had a good start and a really strong race. Whenever we made a move, it seemed to work well. We are definitely happy with what we did today .While the top crews are focusing on the semifinal, we were happy going to the repechage. To get another race is beneficial for us. We will be doing the best we can and more [come the semifinal]. Anytime we get on the water, we try to do better."
Belgium followed in 2nd place and Italy 3rd.
