Waiariki Institute of Technology 2010 Bay of Plenty Sports Awards

I am very pleased to announced that we have been successful with three of the nominations that we put forward These are the awards that recognise sporting achievement across the wider Bay of Plenty for the 2009/10 season. They had 160 nominations across all award types and only selected 4 as finalist for each category.Our finalists are:

- 'Club of the Year': Rotorua Rowing Club

- 'Open Coach of the Year': Rob Francis

- 'Secondary School Sportsman of the Year': Nigel Van Den Akker

The award ceremony is Friday night 19th November at the Rotorua Events Centre, starting 6.00pm for drinks/mingle and 6.45 pm for the start of the ceremony.  Tickets are $70.00 per adult and $35.00 per secondary school student. Tickets will be available next week.

So well done to the finalists.
